Why I Joined Compass and the Kreinheder Group in Long Beach

September 25, 2026•3 min read

After months of conversations, thinking through what I wanted the next phase of my real estate business to look like, and probably overanalyzing it more than once, I officially joined Compass and the Kreinheder Group in Long Beach.

I’ve been a licensed Realtor since 2019, but my relationship with real estate has changed significantly over the last year. What started as another part of my business has become something I genuinely love, particularly because real estate sits at the intersection of so many things I already care about: sales, marketing, negotiation, investing, community, and helping people make really big decisions.

The more business I did, the clearer I became about what I wanted to build. I want to be one of the people Long Beach homeowners call when they’re trying to figure out what to do next, whether that ultimately means selling their house or not.

That distinction is important to me.

Sometimes the smartest move is selling. Sometimes it’s keeping the 3% mortgage and renovating the house you already own. Maybe it’s adding an ADU, turning your current home into a rental and buying something else, downsizing, moving up, tapping into equity, or simply deciding that now isn’t the right time to do anything.

I want my job to be helping people understand their options and make the best real estate decision for their life, not convincing everyone I meet that they need to transact.

That’s a big part of why joining Compass and the Kreinheder Group made sense.

Michele Kreinheder has been selling real estate in Long Beach since 2010 and has built something that’s increasingly rare: a real business rooted in an actual community. Her presence in Long Beach wasn’t created through an ad campaign. It has been built over years of selling homes, knowing neighborhoods and families, and hosting the kinds of community events people remember long after the real estate transaction is over.

That local foundation was important to me because this is personal for me too. I live here. I own real estate here. I’m raising my two boys here. I care about what gets built, which businesses open, how our neighborhoods change, what happens to property values, and what Long Beach looks like five, ten and twenty years from now.

At the same time, I wanted the infrastructure of a company that thinks much bigger.

Compass gives me access to technology, marketing, data, tools and a national network that I simply wouldn’t have on my own. After spending more than 20 years in corporate sales and marketing, I know the difference good systems and resources can make. I also know that none of those things replace the person sitting across the table from you.

For my clients, this move means I have more behind me without changing what you get from me.

I’m still going to tell you if I think you shouldn’t sell your house. I’m still going to care about the strategy behind a listing before we ever talk about putting it on the MLS. I’m still going to look for the opportunity other people might miss, whether that’s in the terms of an offer, the potential of a property, or another option you hadn’t considered.

I’m also going to keep talking about what’s happening in Long Beach, Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, and the surrounding markets, because understanding real estate means understanding more than what houses sold for last month. Development, businesses, neighborhoods, lifestyle, housing policy, and investment all affect why people want to live somewhere and what they’re willing to pay to do it.

So yes, I joined Compass and the Kreinheder Group.

The logo changed. The resources got significantly bigger. The vision didn’t.

I’m still here to help homeowners turn what they have into what they want. I just have a lot more behind me now to help make that happen.
